Leathercare
To keep your leather looking its best, please follow these steps:
-
Store your leather in a clean, dry place out of direct sunlight to prolong its life.
-
Avoid scratching or stretching the leather
-
Clean the leather using a lightly damp cloth without any soap. If your leather is really muddy, you can use saddle soap but using this too often can dry out your leather.
-
Allow to dry at room temperature - avoid heat as this will cause the leather to dry out.
-
Condition the leather using leather conditioner (such as Fiebing’s 4-Way Care) and a cloth.
-
If your leather is really dry, you can apply a generous coat of leather balm (such as Fiebing’s Aussie Leather Conditioner) and allow it to soak in.
-
Brass fittings can tarnish over time, this can be carefully cleaned using Brasso avoiding getting this on the leather.
-
Avoid getting water or dirt on any crystals or beads as they may tarnish over time.
