Covid 19 & Biosecurity Procedures
Workshop Procedures
If you visit my workshop, I may wear a face mask. You are welcome to wear one but this is not required. Hand sanitiser will be available. I will clean my hands, tools and workspace between working on customers items to prevent the spread of Covid 19 or other human/equine diseases. If you have an item for repair that may have been exposed to an infectious disease (e.g. strangles or ringworm) I will ask to postpone you getting it to me for work until there is no risk of spreading the disease.
Visit Procedures
Before your appointment, I will ask you to sign my Covid 19 and Equine diseases screening form to ensure any risk of passing on an infectious disease is minimised. Any equipment, tools or items that have been in contact with a horse will be thoroughly disinfected before the next appointment. I may wear a face mask inside during the assessment part of your appointment but may remove this if I carry out a ridden assessment outside. You are welcome to wear a mask but this is not required. I will clean my hands with sanitiser between each horse.
Appointment Cancellation Due to Covid 19
If you or anyone in your household has tested positive for Covid 19 or you are experiencing symptoms, please contact me to rearrange your appointment. If this is within 48 hours of your appointment, the appointment must still be paid in full.
Appointment Cancellation Due to Equine Infectious Disease
If your horse has contracted an infectious disease, please contact me to rearrange your appointment. If this is within 48 hours of your appointment, the appointment must still be paid in full. When re-booking your appointment, please include a note from your vet to state that your horse has fully recovered and is no longer contagious. If another horse on your yard has contracted an infectious disease, I may still be able to visit your horse as long as there are suitable procedures in place to ensure that the disease is contained to the infected individuals. Contact me to discuss if your appointment can still go ahead.
