Frequently Asked Questions
Why Is It Important To Have My Bridle Fitted?
The fit of a bridle has been shown to have a huge effect on the comfort and performance of the horse. A poorly fitted bridle can pinch the nerves of the face, rub sensitive areas, cause jaw tension and decrease stride length
It takes training and practice to be able to assess the horse's facial anatomy, choose and fit a bridle that fits well and is suitable for the horse, and assess the horse's way of going.
What Does a Bridle Fitting Appointment Involve?
How much Does a Bridle Consultation Cost?
-
Each appointment is £30 per horse or if there are 2 or more horses on the same yard, it will be £25 for each appointment
-
If your yard is more than 1 hour away from my workshop, there will be an additional mileage charge.
-
My preferred payment method is by bank transfer but I can also take payment via PayPal. This must be received before I visit you for your appointment.
-
Bespoke bridles range from around £180 - 300. Before I start making your bridle I will ask for payment for half of the total cost we have agreed, this can be paid during or after your appointment. The remaining payment is to be paid before I bring out the finished bridle.
How do I book a bridle fitting Consultation?
First, contact me via email, Facebook or Instagram message.
Once I have received your message, I will send you a link with a google form to fill out with information about you, your horse and the kind of bridle you are looking for. I will then offer you a date and time slot for your appointment and send you a link to pay.
Can I Cancel or Reschedule My Appointment?
You can cancel your appointment up to 48 hours beforehand and receive a full refund. After this I cannot offer a refund as it is difficult to fill a slot at short notice. Appointments can be rescheduled but if you contact me less than 48 hours before your appointment, again I cannot offer you a refund.
My Yard is More than 2 Hours Away, Can I Still Book an Appointment?
In certain circumstances, I may be able to come out to see your horse but there will be an additional mileage charge. Clients that are located closer to me will be prioritised for appointments.
How Long Does it Take To Make My Bridle?
Currently the wait list for bridles is 4-6 weeks. This is to allow me to complete other orders that are on the waiting list before starting work on your bridle. Each bridle takes around 2-3 days to make from start to finish.
What is The Return Policy for Made-To-Measure Items?
I Have An Idea For A Bridle or Item That I Would Like To Order But Don't See Anything Like It On The Website
As each item is fully bespoke and hand-made to order, I am able to make a huge variety of designs and one-off pieces. If you don't see the thing you are looking for, contact me to discuss this and I will see how I can help.
